The Program is founded on three core values:

• Scientific excellence and evidence-based practice
We base teaching and clinical practice on the most up-to-date and reliable scientific data, with an emphasis on critical thinking and the continuous renewal of knowledge.

• Interdisciplinarity and collaboration (One Health)
We promote collaboration among physicians, nurses, medical microbiologists, pharmacists, veterinarians and public health professionals, recognizing that the rational control of infections and antimicrobial resistance concerns the health of humans, animals and the environment.

• Responsibility towards the patient and public health
We place particular emphasis on the ethical dimension of clinical practice, on reducing antimicrobial resistance, on patient safety, and on protecting the community.

Our central message is that infection control and the rational use of antimicrobials are not merely academic subjects, but critical interventions for safeguarding health today and for future generations, through a comprehensive One Health approach.
