It was a great pleasure to welcome at the International Hellenic University’s Centre of International Programmes of Studies, School of Science and Technology, students from the second intake of the Erasmus Mundus Joint MSc in Smart Cities and Communities, after they completed their first semester in Spain or Finland. It should be noted that students come from diverse academic backgrounds and go through a very competitive selection process (typically there are 25 scholarships for over 1200 applicants).

Students were welcomed by the Programme Director Prof. C. Tjortjis and Programme Manager Dr C. Koidis, before attending short presentations by the Academic Coordinator Dr. C. Berberidis and Academic Associate Dr. P. Koukaras, as well as Ms. M. Rampidou from the International Students Support Unit, Mr. E. Grigoropoulos from the IT Department and Ms. Katerina Katsaouni from the Library and Information Centre.

We are all looking forward to a fruitful and enjoyable semester in Thessaloniki!
