The Governor of the region of Central Macedonia Apostolos Tzitzikostas meets with the President of the Governing Board of the International Hellenic University Emeritus Professor Athanassios Kaissis and the Vice President for Research and Lifelong Learning Professor Stamatis Angelopoulos

On Monday 18 May 2020, a meeting took place between the President of the Governing Board of the International Hellenic University, Emeritus Professor Athanassios Kaissis, and the Regional Governor of Central Macedonia Apostolos Tzitzikostas at the Region of Central Macedonia offices. The Vice President for Research and Lifelong Learning of the IHU Professor Stamatis Angelopoulos also attended the meeting.

The President of the Governing Board of the IHU, Em. Professor Kaissis, presented the new structure of the University, the development strategy as well as IHU’s orientation towards using the University’s research output in order to strengthen research and the local and national economy. He also noted the University’s immediate adaptation to digital education through the integration of innovative educational technologies and the use of experience gained from the operation of the postgraduate programmes taught in English, especially those of the Center of International Programmes of Studies. During the meeting and following IHU’s request, the Region expressed the will to support the University through the implementation of investment projects in order to update the digital infrastructure and the lab equipment and upgrade the University libraries.
