The President of the Governing Board of the International Hellenic University (IHU),
Professor Emeritus Αthanassios Kaissis,  expresses his warmest congratulations to
Professor Periklis Chatzimisios, Department of Science and Technology, for the awarding of
the Research Professor title by the University of New Mexico (USA).

  Professor Periklis Chatzimisios is also serving as Steering Committee member of the
Hellenic Diaspora Academic Association (HDAA), a global organization connecting scholars
in Greece with members of the Greek and Cypriot academic Diaspora. HDAA has been formatted
in the framework of the Greek Diaspora Fellowship Program (GDFP) that is funded by a grant
from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) to the Institute of International Education
(IIE) in collaboration with the Fulbright Foundation in Greece.

 The above distinctions constitute an additional step toward the further strengthening of
the internationalization of the International Hellenic University since an important
window of close cooperation is opened with Universities from USA in the areas of research,
teaching, development of joint course programs as well as student and staff exchange.
