This module aims to familiarize students with the term Eco-design, and the understanding of the products’ ecological footprint on the planet.
There is world-wide demand for more efficient products to reduce energy and resource consumption.
Ecodesign is an approach to designing products with special consideration for the environmental impacts of the product during its whole lifecycle. The designer has to consider the entire life cycle of the product, from the extraction of raw materials to the end of life.
