Corporate Finance

The objective of this course is to equip the students with the academic background and decision-making tools that are necessary in corporate financial management. Capital structure, payout and risk management policies are assessed with respect to firm valuation, corporate governance and security design. The module will involve an examination of both the theory and the practice of corporate financial decision-making. On completing the course students are expected to appraise corporate financing tools and design policies for capital raising, assess and manage corporate capital structure and corporate payout policies, calculate firm value and employ financial planning tools.
