3D Computer Aided Design (SolidWorks)

Object creation is essential to designers. Their representation is a core activity for the development, communication, and testing of a number of different concepts. This module aims to train designers dealing with the design of 3D objects. The students are introduced to a variety of modelling approaches related to industrial design. They are provided with the basics on structure and space, while emphasis is placed on the introduction of different modelling tools. The correct use of plane and solid geometric forms is taught in order to create and communicate advanced design solutions. All students are involved in group and individual projects after demonstration and the statement of problems with respect to concepts presented in class.
