UNESCO PRIZE

Ms Chrysoula Lazou, PhD Candidate of the Department of Informatics of the International Hellenic University and member of the Laboratory of Advanced Educational Technologies and Mobile Device Applications – AETMA Lab, received 2nd PRIZE in the UNESCO Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Awards. The MIL Alliance Awards recognize information/library, media and technology specialists, educators, artists, activists, researchers, policy makers, NGOs, associations and other groups integrating MIL (media and information literacy) in an innovative way in their work and related activities. Specifically, the awards recognize excellence and leadership in five sectors: Education, Research, Policy, Advocacy, Media and Communication/Information Industries. Ms Lazou’s research and activities focus on Media Education and in particular on critical digital literacy in education, leveraging Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technologies. Ms Lazou coordinates educational activities, seminars, workshops and events for the dissemination of good practices on an international level.
