Agreement signed between the International Hellenic University and Thessaloniki Convention Bureau<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

An Agreement was signed on March 8 2017 between the International Hellenic University and Thessaloniki Convention Bureau in the framework of the\u00a0MSc in Hospitality and Tourism Management<\/strong>\u00a0aiming at the development of strategies and activities that will link\u00a0<\/span>the academic and business communities in order to facilitate students\u2019 access to the job market.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thessaloniki Convention Bureau (<\/span>www.thessalonikiconventionbureau.gr\/<\/span><\/a>) is a member-based non-profit organization set up by the Metropolitan Developing Agency of Thessaloniki S.A. whose mission is to promote the city as a convention destination and put Thessaloniki on the map as a dynamic global tourism player.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Agreement was co-signed by the President of the Board of Directors of Thessaloniki Convention Bureau, Mrs Despina Amarantidou and the Vice President of the Governing Board of the International Hellenic University, Emeritus Professor Giorgos Stamou. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The scope of cooperation under this Agreement includes the following areas:<\/span><\/p>\n

1) Joint organization of education and training programmes for students of the International Hellenic University and executives of Thessaloniki Convention Bureau.<\/span><\/p>\n

2) International Hellenic University students can undertake their Consulting Projects at Thessaloniki Convention Bureau.<\/span><\/p>\n

3) Establish Thessaloniki as a scientific conference destination in cooperation with the international academic community in order to promote new knowledge production and the city\u2019s academic community.<\/span><\/p>\n

4) Participation of the Human Resources department of Thessaloniki Convention Bureau in events organized by the Careers Office of the International Hellenic University.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
