Topics include discussion of psychrometrics, air conditioning processes, thermal comfort, indoor air quality and outdoor design conditions. Emphasis on the calculation of heating and cooling load in order to size suitable HVAC equipment, estimate energy consumption of the HVAC equipment, and control HVAC equipment. Both manual and computer methods will be used.
